Asset Colouring & Map Leg Filtering - TracPlus Cloud Platform Update

Welcome back to another update of our latest TracPlus Cloud platform improvements.

Introducing Asset Colouring & Map Leg Filtering: These improvements are designed to provide greater customization options and better visibility of important information, making it easier to manage assets and monitor activities in real-time.

Asset Colouring

One of the most notable new features of TracPlus Cloud is the ability to customize asset colours. With the latest update, users can now customize the colour for each asset's map icon and trail on a per-organisation level.

All assets already have a predetermined default colour from the 16-colour palette. So users can choose colours from the provided colour palette, or select their own custom colours. These colours also appear throughout the interface and beside asset names within the app to make it easier to identify them at a glance.

This feature is especially useful for organizations with a large number of assets as it helps to differentiate between them quickly.

Map Leg Filtering

 
Another significant new feature is map leg filtering. When legs are selected in the activity box, they are now displayed alone on the map. This allows users to see the selected leg clearly without the clutter of other trails from that day appearing.

As you can see from the image comparison above, the map zooms and positions itself to display the entire selected leg in the most optimum way visually. 

Additionally, when using split maps, each split map can display a separate selected leg. This feature is useful for users who need to focus on specific areas or activities, as it provides a clear and uncluttered view of the selected legs.

Bonus: Split maps are now kept persistent in local browser storage, so your split map settings will remain the same after reloads on the same device/browser.
