The RockFLEET is designed for permanent installation on ships, yachts, vehicles, and other assets. It is waterproof, ruggedised, and offers a variety of mounting options to suit your needs. The device has built-in Iridium and optional GSM capability
RockFLEET Orientation:
The RockFLEET is a non-user interface tracking device equipped with Iridium & GPS antennas located on the top ‘domed’ part of its casing. To ensure a good satellite signal, the antennas must be clear of obstructions and have a clear view of the sky.

Map Switches:
- Power sources must have 2A circuit breakers.
- Switch and sensor inputs are not internally debounced. Input switches or sensors should be externally debounced and must switch between the open circuit and Signal Ground.
- A switch is activated on a change on the switchwire; this can be either going from Low (ground) to High or High to Low (ground).
WARNING: NO VOLTAGE IS TO BE APPLIED TO SWITCH AND SENSOR INPUTS. APPLYING VOLTAGE TO SWITCH AND SENSOR INPUTS WILL RESULT IN DEVICE FAILURE AND VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
*Installation must be performed by an appropriately licensed engineer with reference to the requirements of all applicable installation regulations, instructions, and guidelines.
Powering RockFLEET - Old Version:
The RockFLEET unit is designed to be attached to mains power for most of the time, via cable. However, it does have an internal rechargeable battery for when the unit loses power.
To attach the unit to mains power, simply wire the positive (brown) and negative (white) cores of the cable into your power supply. The unit will run on any voltage between 9v and 32v. It will draw a maximum of about 700mA under normal operation.
If you intend to fuse the circuit, it is suggested to fit a 2A fuse

Cable Shield, see note below |
Note: The unconnected ground (Black) is a shielded cable - it is designed to only be connected inside the tracker and is not exposed at the other end of the cable - connecting it on both ends would defeat the purpose of a shield as everything is correctly wired within the device.
WARNING: NO VOLTAGE IS TO BE APPLIED TO SWITCH AND SENSOR INPUTS. APPLYING VOLTAGE TO SWITCH AND SENSOR INPUTS WILL RESULT IN DEVICE FAILURE AND VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
RockFLEET Operating Modes:
The table below describes the basic operating modes for the RockFLEET tracker.
Mode | Detail |
ON (Powering / Charging) | Externally Powered (8-32v DC) |
ON (Un-powered / Discharging) | Powered by an internal battery (when external power lost/disconnected) |
OFF | Following the loss of external power and depletion of the internal battery. |
Storage/Shipping Mode | You will receive the tracker in Storage Mode. Connect external power to wake it up. |
While the tracker is ON it will behave per its current/most recent configuration.
